Court Digitization Project – Commercial High Courts, Sri Lanka

Project Overview
In 2019, I led the first phase of Sri Lanka’s court digitization initiative—digitally transforming Colombo’s Commercial High Courts 1, 2, and 3—funded by USAID. Following its success, Phase 2 was completed in 2022, extending the solution to Commercial High Court 4.
Core Features & Technological Stack
Full Multitrack Recording using industry-standard FTR (For The Record) software suite.
Audio Capture via Shure microphones ensuring clear, court-grade sound quality.
Audio Processing handled by Biamp Audio DSP, for refined, reliable sound management.
Video Conferencing implemented with Poly (formerly Polycom) systems to enable seamless remote hearings.
Recordings are fully digitized, stored, and made readily available for retrieval and archives.
Impact & Innovation
Enabled remote hearings, particularly critical for cases involving foreign parties, enhancing access to justice.
Contributed to Sri Lanka's broader judicial digitization push, aligning with modernization efforts seen across the justice sector
